Ich habe jetzt mein Traumauto gefunden, einen Citróen 2CV, Modell Dolly. Im Gegensatz zu den vorherigen Autos habe ich die Dolly komplett neu restauriert gekauft. Nachdem er von Syke nach Limburg gebracht wurde, habe ich ihn zugelassen und kann einfach losfahren. Die Dolly ist Baujahr 1987 und hat 27 PS. Lt. Literatur wurden von diesem Modell nur 2000 Stück gebaut.

Now I have finally found my dream car, a Citróen 2CV, model Dolly. Compared to the vintage cars before I bought my Dolly completely new restored. After he was brought from Syke to Limburg, I registred it and could drive. The Dolly was built in 1987 and has 27 hores powers. From this model they only built 2000 cars (according to literature).

Mein "Neuer" ist ein Willys Jeep CJ3A, Baujahr 1951. Im Gegensatz zur Isetta habe ich ihn fahrbereit erworben. Trotzdem habe ich noch ein paar Restaurierungsarbeiten vor mir. Die Sitze sind gegen Original-Sitze ausgetauscht. Die Elektrik und die Kühlung sind fertig. Z.Zt. arbeite ich an den Motorproblemen.

My new one is a Willys Jeep CJ3A, built 1951. In opposite to the bubble car I bought it in running order. Although I still have some work to do. The seats have been changed with original seats. Electricity and cooling are now done. At the moment I am working at the problems with the machine.

Mein Auto ist ein echter Oldtimer, der mich auf den ersten Blick begeistert hat. Ein echter Klassiker, der sofort ins Auge sticht! Als ich den Wagen erstand, wusste ich, dass viel Arbeit auf mich zukam, denn er musste komplett restauriert werden. Aber genau das ist es ja, was soviel Spaß macht!

My car is a real vintage car which impressed me at first glance - a real classic car which attracted attention. When I bought it I knew that it would be a lot of work because it had to be completely restored. But it was just that what made fun to me.

Ich entrostete, spachtelte, schliff und grundierte die Karosserie, suchte alle notwendigen Ersatzteile für einen lauffähigen Motor. Dann musste ich unter der Motorhaube eine gründliche Reinigung vornehmen, den Motor ausbauen und überholen. Zuletzt habe ich die Sitze neu polstern und beziehen lassen und natürlich den ganzen Wagen neu lackiert. Insgesamt habe ich drei Jahre getüftelt, gebastelt und geschraubt, bis ich das Auto in seinem heutigen Zustand vor mir stehen hatte.

I did all the necessary works at the car´s body, looked for all the parts to let the machine work. I had to clean everything under the bonnet and to remove and refit the machine. At the end I did the seats and had the varnishing. In whole I worked three years until it looked like that.

Bei all der Mühe in der Vergangenheit bereitet mir mein Lieblingsstück dafür besonders viel Freude. 

But despite all the efforts in those years I had a lot of fun with the car.
